  • Fixed-price quote before any work starts
  • One project lead from kickoff to handover
  • Cutovers after hours, so staff aren’t interrupted
  • Everything documented and handed over
  • Reduced rates for managed clients

What we do

The projects we get asked for most.

Office moves & new offices

Internet circuits ordered eight weeks out, cabling, Wi-Fi, firewall and phones ready before the movers arrive.

Server upgrades & cloud migration

Replace an aging server, or retire it and move files and apps to Microsoft 365 or Azure, with a tested rollback plan.

Microsoft 365 & Workspace migrations

Email, calendars and files moved over a weekend, with staff signed in and working Monday morning.

VoIP phone systems

Modern cloud phones with mobile apps, call routing and voicemail to email, ported from your old carrier without dropping a call.

Network & Wi-Fi refresh

Business-grade firewall, switches and access points installed cleanly, labeled and documented.

Custom workstations

Purpose-built PCs for CAD, video, trading or point-of-sale, specced for the job instead of whatever’s on sale.

How a project runs

From first call to handover, on a date you pick.

Week 0

Scoping call

What you’re trying to do, what’s in place today, and the date it needs to happen by.

Week 1

Fixed quote

Hardware, licensing and labor itemized, with what’s included and what isn’t spelled out.

Weeks 2–6

Plan, order, test

Equipment ordered, a written plan, and a test run where it matters. Circuits and ports take the longest, so they go first.

Cutover

After hours

The work itself, in a window that suits your business: an evening, a weekend, or a quiet Friday.

Next morning

On site

Someone at your office when staff arrive, then documentation and passwords handed over.

Our promise

A fixed price means a fixed price.

If we misjudge how long something takes, that’s on us, not on your invoice. The only things that change the number are changes you ask for, and we’ll quote those before doing them.

  • Itemized quote: hardware, licensing, labor
  • Hardware passed through at cost, with the invoices to prove it
  • Scope changes quoted in writing before any work
  • A written handover any IT company could pick up
  • 30 days of follow-up support included

Recent work

Three projects, and what they fixed.

Office move

Law firm, 14 staff, new downtown office

Circuits ordered eight weeks out, new firewall, Wi-Fi and phones installed the week before the move, old office decommissioned the Friday after.

Result: staff worked a full day on Monday morning. [Replace with a real project.]

Server retirement

Accounting practice, 9 staff

A 2016 server replaced by Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, with QuickBooks moved to hosted desktop. Migration ran over a weekend in June, not April.

Result: no server to replace, and remote access without a VPN. [Replace with a real project.]

Phone system

Dental office, 2 locations

Analog lines and a dying PBX replaced by cloud phones with a shared front desk queue across both offices and voicemail to email.

Result: one phone bill instead of three, and calls answered at whichever office is open. [Replace with a real project.]

FAQ

Common questions

Something we didn’t cover? Ask us directly.

Do we have to be a managed client?

No. We do project work for any Central Virginia business. Managed clients get a reduced rate and skip the scoping call, since we already know their setup.

How do you price projects?

Fixed price wherever we can define the scope, which is most jobs. If something genuinely can’t be scoped up front, we quote a capped range and tell you where the uncertainty is.

How far ahead should we plan an office move?

Eight weeks, mostly because of internet circuits. Carriers routinely take four to six weeks to install, and that date drives everything else.

Will there be downtime?

Most cutovers happen after hours or over a weekend. Where some downtime is unavoidable, we tell you how long and when, and we test the rollback first.

Do you buy the hardware or do we?

Either. We usually source it so warranties and returns run through us, and pass it through at cost. If you have a preferred vendor or a purchasing agreement, we work with that.

Have a project on the horizon?

Tell us what you’re planning and we’ll put a scope and a fixed quote together. No obligation.
